A woman risks remaining confined to bed for life after he attempted a suicide. Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Emergency Hospital, has told Info-Prim Neo that the tragedy happened in Sangera town on Tuesday morning. The 48-year-old woman tried to hang herself, but was saved by her husband, who called the ambulance. The woman suffered mechanical asphyxiation, the fracture of the backbone in the cervical region and went into a coma. A woman aged 43 from Chisinau took about 100 tranquilizing pills in order to kill herself. Fortunately, she was found by her relatives and was rushed to the Saint Trinity Hospital. A 37-year-old man was killed in a fire in his dormitory. He was under the influence and fell asleep with a lit cigarette, which caused the fire. A boy aged 12 of the school No. 33 in Chisinau is suspected of having the A (H1N1) flu virus. He had been vacationing abroad. He was admitted to the hospital for children΄s infectious diseases. Yesterday and last night, the ambulance doctors responded to 738 calls, including to 53 cases of trauma, 88 cases of acute viral infections, 7 brain strokes and a myocardial infarction.
