Woman struck mortally by car on Chisinau street

A woman in her 70s was hit fatally by a car on Muncesti St in Chisinau in the morning of March 1. The woman’s identity hasn’t been yet established. Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Uliana Catana has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened at about 6am. The woman was crossing the street at a distance of about 20 meters from the crosswalk. She was struck by a Toyota car driven by a 45-year-old man who wasn’t under the influence of alcohol. The woman died on the spot as a result of the sustained injuries. The victim had no identification paper on her. Allegedly, she lived nearby. She was dressed in an orange winter short coat, black skirt and black boots. She is stout and between 1.60 and 1.65 meters high.
