A woman aged 39 was hit mortally by a truck in a crosswalk in Rascani district of Chisinau in the afternoon of March 17.
Contacted by IPN, Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, said the accident happened at the intersection of the streets Tudor Vladimirescu and Aerodromului. The woman was struck by a Man truck driven by a 58-year-old man. She died on the spot.
The driver will stand trial and faces up to seven years in jail.
