Woman seriously hurt in traffic accident in Chisinau

A 31-year-old woman was rushed to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital in a coma after she was involved in a road accident in the capital city on January 31. Traffic Police Division PR inspector Aurelia Mija has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened at the intersection of the streets Ismail and B.P. Hasdeu at about 9am. According to eyewitnesses, the woman was jaywalking and was struck by a Mazda. According to the Emergency Hospital’s spokesman Petru Cravet, the woman suffered serious traumas and multiple fractures. The same day, a 44-year-old woman was hit by a Mercedes at the intersection of Albisoara and Feredeului streets. She was also jaywalking. The woman sustained a severe thoracic trauma and will go through a long rehabilitation period.
