Woman killed in road accident

An unidentified woman died on Saturday evening after she was crushed under the wheels of a car on Decebal Blvd. in Chisinau. The car left the place of the accident, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the General Police Commissariat. The woman did not have identification papers on her. The 28-year-old driver of the Nissan-Primera involved in the accident was detained later. An investigation is underway. A Jeep Cherokee collided with a Hyundai Ticson at the intersection of Bucuresti and Tighina streets. The driver of the Hyundai aged 54 sustained bodily injuries. A Mercedes minibus went over the right leg of a 47-year-old man. The accident happened on Voluntarilor St on Monday morning. The minibus hit the man and then passed over his leg. The man was rushed to the Emergency Hospital with multiple open fractures of the femur, shank and sole. He might remain without the leg. The three road accidents that occurred yesterday and last night in Chisinau resulted in one death and two persons injured.
