Woman killed brutally in Floresti district

A 56-year-old woman from Napadova village of Floresti district was beaten, asphyxiated and then burned. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the police arrested a 39-year-old man from the same village who is suspected of murdering the woman, Info-Prim Neo reports. The tragedy happened in the woman’s house, where she lived alone. The suspect, together with the victim and another two persons, consumed alcohol at the victim’s house. Afterward, the woman and the suspect remained alone. The man wanted to have sexual relations with the woman and attacked her. After hitting her in the head, he asphyxiated her with a cable, set the body on fire and left. At the suspect’s house, the police found clothes with blood stains and two pairs of keys from the victim’s house. The man faces 12 to 20 years in jail or life imprisonment for deliberate murder.
