A 54-year-old woman died as a result of a road accident that happened at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Blvd and Sergey Lazo St in Chisinau at noon.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that a trolleybus running on route No. 1 collided with a cab. Following the impact, the female passenger from the cab suffered injuries. She was rushed to the hospital, but didn’t survive. The driver was also taken to the hospital. He was admitted to the surgery section with fractures and is now out of danger.
The trolleybus driver and passengers weren’t hurt.
An investigation is under way. The recordings of local surveillance cameras will be examined to see who is to blame for the accident.
