Woman gets 20 years in prison for murdering newborn

A woman, 26, was sentenced to 20 years of prison for killing her baby. According to the Press Service of the Moldova Public Prosecutor’s Office, the evidence brought by the prosecutors prove that on March 16, 2006, the woman went to an abandoned house in Sadic Village, Cantemir District, where she gave birth to a male baby. Immediately after the birth she struck the baby with a brick, causing his death. At that moment, the woman was 24 years old and was mother of 3. Recently, while in prison, she gave birth to another baby. The judgment of the Supreme Court of Justice in this case is final.
