A 64-year-old woman from Slobozia village of Stefan Vodă district was found dead in an irrigation water storage basin put up in her garden.
"A team of the Stefan Vodă Rescue and Firefighting Unit travelled to the scene and took the body, which did not have signs of a violent death, out," press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Liliana Pușcașu told IPN.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Stefan-Vodă Police Inspectorate Mariana Didenco said that the woman supposedly drowned. However, the exact cause of death is to be found out by pathologists.
A criminal case was started to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.
