A 34-year-old woman from Paustova village of Ocnita district collapsed into a local well that is 15 meters deep. Rescuers were called to help take her out. The woman was taken to the hospital, but her life is out of danger.
Sources in the mayor’s office of Lipnic commune have told IPN that the woman periodically suffers from emotional crises and could have attempted to commit suicide. She is the mother of a child aged eight.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the rescuers and firefighters since the start of this year have saved over 20 persons who fell into wells and ponds. The people are urged to call 901 in emergencies.
