A woman aged 67 was beaten to death last night. The body of the victim was found by police officers in the yard of the woman’s house. The police suspect the crime was committed by an inhabitant of Chirsova village of Comrat municipality, who was arrested for 72 hours, IPN reports.
According to the press service of the Police Division of ATU Gagauzia, the suspect is aged 43 and had earlier served time in jail.
A criminal case was started over premeditated murder. If he is found guilty, the man will serve 10 to 15 years behind bars.
