Woman found dead in burning house

A woman was found dead in her burning house. The tragedy occurred in Zaicani village, Rascani district. The press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergency Service, Tatiana Corceac, has told Info-Prim Neo that on Thursday morning, at 5.00, the neighbors noticed the fire in the house of the 84-year-old woman. The firefighters found the dead woman in a room later. The case is probed to establish the cause of the death. Another 64-year-old woman was luckier, as the firefighters took her out of her burning apartment on Mitropolit Dosoftei street in Chisinau. Two squads of firefighters managed to rescue the owner and two people from the upper story. A fire flared up on the roof of a two-story house on Nichita Smochina str. in Chisinau. The fire was contained by 30 firefighters, after it destroyed some 340 sq. m. of the house, the roof and objects on the second story. The cause of the fire is being probed. 1,521 fires have been registered in Moldova since the beginning of the year.
