Woman dies in an accident caused by her husband

A woman aged 51 of Chisinau municipality has died, smoke intoxicated in an accident caused by her husband. The doctor-coordinator of the Emergency Service of the capital, Anatol Proca, says that the fire happened on Tuesday, at 21:20, in an apartment block of Dobrogea village. The victim’s husband, being drunk, fell asleep with a lit cigarette. The smoke produced by the latent fire caused the woman’s death. She is the third victim, in August, of the fires produced by smoking in bed, in other two cases the negligent smokers deceased, both of them being drunk. Another young man aged 26 called for help being intoxicated with tear gas in an apartment block on Suceava Street, 120. The day before the Emergency Service of the capital has registered 681 calls, including 72 cases of traumatism, 41 cases of infections and 3 cerebral ictuses.
