A woman aged 54 from the capital city died as a result of a road accident that happened on Dacia Blvd, not far from the Chisinau International Airport.
Asked by IPN to provide details, Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, said the accident occurred at about 7am this morning. A cab driven by a 31-year-old man struck the woman who was crossing the street legally. The victim died on the spot.
The police started a criminal case and detained the driver for questioning.
