Woman dead for days but no one noticed

A lonely Chisinau woman, 45, had been dead for days when her body was found in her Botanica home on Monday. Doctor-coordinator Eufalia Negreata of the Chisinau Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo that the neighbors, remembering that they had not seen the woman for some while, became worried when they noticed an odor coming out of the woman's apartment on Independentei Street. Preliminary investigations showed that the woman died most probably from cardiovascular disorders. A 16-year-old male pedestrian was hurt in a traffic accident on Dacia Blvd. The boy was admitted to Valentin Ignatenco Hopspital with several of his right ribs broken and with concussion of the internal organs. A male occupant of a Mercedes share taxi on route 123 hit his head against the windshield after the driver braked suddenly. The man suffered head injuries, facial soft tissue concussion and fracture of the nasal bones. On Monday, June 30, 8 persons with ages ranging from 48 to 72 experienced cardiovascular accidents. Out of 801 calls recorded by the Chisinau Emergency Service, 81 involved cases of acute viral diseases.
