Woman chokes to death on meat

A 74-year-old woman from Chisinau was having a meal with her family when she choked on meat and died. The ambulance doctors could not save her, Silvia Babara, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo. A 25-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he lost consciousness and fell down. It happened not far from the Emergency Hospital. The doctors took him to the reanimatology section, but could not resuscitate him. The young man had been operated on the heart. Allegedly, he died after making physical effort. A man aged 54 was taken to the Emergency Hospital with a concussion and several broken ribs. He said he was beaten by his son in their apartment on Cuza Voda Blvd. An investigation is under way. A man, 39, got electrocuted when he touched the electrical writing in the yard of his house. An employee of the Zoological Garden cut his finger when he was working with the lathe. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service responded to 780 calls, dealing with 53 cases of trauma, 68 cases of acute viral infection and nine strokes.
