A 64-year-old woman from Volovita village of Soroca district fell into a 16-meter deep well in the morning of April 26. She was taken out by rescuers and was rushed to the hospital with hypothermia, IPN reports.
Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu said the rescuers found a pail and the woman’s shoes and jacket. The woman was taken out unconscious, but regained consciousness after she was given first aid. The circumstances of the incident are not yet known.
The rescuers found out from neighbors that the woman suffers from cancer. A suicide attempt hasn’t been yet confirmed.
