A Moldovan citizen is being accused of leading a network of traffickers in human beings, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a press release of the General Prosecutor’s Office. According to the law-enforcers, the woman together with a male citizen of Moldova as well as several Turkish citizens sexually exploited another Moldovan woman and subjected her to psychological and physical violence on the territory of Turkey. The trafficked person arrived in turkey through the Moldovan man, who had bought her tickets to the Chisinau-Moscow bus and air tickets for Istanbul, Turkey. In Turkey, she was met by the currently accused woman and the Turkish citizens she was collaborating with, the press release says. During 2 or 3 months, the victim was locked in a house and sexually exploited. The procurers took the victim’s documents and obliged her to prostitute herself. The case was submitted to the Botanica District Court. If found guilty, the woman can be sentenced to 10 to 20 years of imprisonment, with the deprivation of the right to occupy certain functions or perform certain activities for a period of 2 to 5 years.
