If there is no support from the Western partners that will tell those from the bloc ACUM to have a dialogue, the bloc will not hold talks with the Democratic Party that made a call to negotiations, considers political pundit Corneliu Ciurea. He said the bloc ACUM does not want now to sit at the negotiating table, IPN reports.
“In democracies, there are two types of conduct. There is the consensual type, including in Parliament, which is that promoted by the PDM that speaks about joint projects and cooperation possibilities. The conflictual type of conduct is as valid and this is adopted by the bloc ACUM whose conflictual message continues to be ‘tasted’ by a particular percentage of our population,” Corneliu Ciurea stated in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel. According to him, the PDM’s goal is to demolish this conflict-based behavior.
Jurist Vitali Catană said the votes were distributed in an interesting way after last Sunday’s elections: the main political forces that entered Parliament got by about one third. The bloc ACUM cannot invoke reasons for avoiding the negotiations as they must have respect for the voters of the other parties. “As the PPDA and PAS invoke the votes they obtained from the citizens, those from the PDM and those from the PSRM can invoke the same reason if they do not have discussions. Negotiation criteria should be applied here,” stated the jurist, adding that if the Democrats invoke people’s votes, a deadlock will be reached.
The Democratic Party on March 1 informed that it wrote separately to the PPDA and PAS, the parties forming the electoral bloc NOW, inviting them to negotiate a potential coalition so as to ensure efficient governance in accordance with people’s expectations.
Later, representatives of the PPDA and PAS declared that they will not have a dialogue with the PDM.
