The driving subtest called “polygon” for candidates seeing a category B driver’s license will be taken on the road, not at the training centers of the Public Services Agency. The new methodology for organizing driving tests took effect, IPN reports.

The practical test, however, will keep key maneuverability elements formerly performed on the polygon, such as the ramp, the three-point turn, or the perpendicular parking. The test may not last longer than 25 minutes.

The candidates who successfully took the “polygon” subtest by May 8 will not need to perform the special driving maneuvers.

The new methodology also reduces the number of documents that the candidates need to present on paper when they come to take the driving test.

Using the information systems of the responsible authorities, the Public Services Agency will be able to verify data about the applicant independently. This way, the persons will come to the driving test only with the identity card.

The persons who want to obtain a driver’s license of category A and subcategories AM, A1, A2 and B1 will take the practical test on the specially designed area and this will last for 15 minutes.

Those who apply for a driver’s license of categories/subcategories BE, C1, C1E, C, CE and also D, D1, D1E will take the practical test on the road, in real traffic conditions.
