The winter holidays will start with the turning on of the lights on the main fir tree and the inauguration of the Christmas Fair in the center of the capital city on Sunday, December 1, at 05:00 p.m. On this occasion, the local authorities prepared a cultural program and invited all residents of the capital city to the festivity in the Great National Assembly Square, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall, the Santa Claus Orchestra, the "Doina" Academic Choir Chapel, the "Entertainment" violin ensemble, the "Voices of Spring" choir, pianists Iurie Mahovici and Anatol Lapicus, artistic groups of children and dancers will perform in the central square.
The Christmas Fair will be open between December 1, 2024 and January 15, 2025. The visitors could buy things at stands with traditional goods, with Christmas gifts and decorations, sweets and hot drinks, as well as other products specific to the winter holidays.
There will also be staged concerts, children's shows, creative workshops and set up a special place for meetings with Santa Claus.
Among the main attractions of the fair are the ice rink, the carousel and the photo areas.
