Twelve children who won a drawing contest organized by Parliament will spend the summer vacation on the seaside in Romania. The 12 winning drawings will be included in a Parliament’s calendar dedicated to Europe Day, IPN reports.

According to the legislature’s press office, the 12 children won the drawing contest “Europe through children’s eyes” that was held by Parliament on the occasion of Europe Day. These were chosen through the Parliament’s Facebook page, based on the obtained appraisals.

The vacation on the seaside was organized with the support of the Government of Romania. “I devote these last moments as Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau to talented children not accidentally. The Government of Romania, together with Moldova’s Parliament, managed to reward the most promising talents in the field of plastic arts with a vacation to summer camps in Romania,” stated Ambassador Marius Lazurca.

The drawing contest “Europe through children’s eyes” involved 53 drawings that were exhibited in the Parliament’s hall. The drawings were made by children aged between 6-16 from Chisinau community centers and the Children’s House “Happy Josef” and by children from different districts of the country who transmitted their works through the local information offices of Parliament.
