Over 25 wineries that make wines with Protected Geographical Indications (PGI) in the three delimited areas of Moldova – “Codru”, “Ștefan Vodă” and “Valul lui Traian” – will take part in the “DeVin&DeGust” Festival. The event will take place on the pedestrian street Eugen Doga in Chisinau on June 3 and 4, IPN reports.

According to the organizers, the Festival “DeVin&DeGust” is devoted to wines from the PGI areas associated with culinary specialties typical of each region. The traditional Wine School will have a program of masterclasses given by certified tasters and sommeliers from which the guests will learn correct wine tasting rules and rules of association with local delicacies. All those attending will be able to learn about the history of the delimited areas and stories of the people who make wine with PGI.

Access to the event is free of charge. Tickets for tasting events at winemakers’ stands and for masterclasses at the Wine School could be purchased on the spot. The “DeVin&DeGust” Festival is organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine.
