Wind damages power lines in villages

24 villages have been left without electric power and telephone connection because of the strong wind in the past night, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Department of Exceptional Situations. According to the cited source, in Ungheni raion, the following villages lost electric power supply - Harcesti, Parlita, Morenii Noi, Bumbata, Petresti, Radenii Vechi. Haresti village from the same raion has been left without telephone connection. In Ciutulesti, Marinesti, Sarbesti from Floresti raion, Valea-Trestieni from Nisporeni, Caprineanca, Obileni, Bratianovca, Nemteni, Cotul Morii from Hancesti, Pohrebeni, Vorotet, Izvoare, Sercani from Orhei, Mihailovca, Trotcoe, Batar from Cimislia, Cairaclia from Taraclia and Dimitrovca from UTA Gagauzia lost connection with the electric power network, which was damaged by the wind. At the moment, electric power distributors are working on repairs. 35 exceptional situations with a natural character produced in Moldova in 11 months of the current year, causing damages estimated at MDL 132.5 mln.
