The wild boar hunting season in the forests managed by the Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” started on November 22 and will end on December 31, IPN reports.
This year, the hunting limit was set at 433 wild boars. In the forests managed by “Moldsilva”, hunting is allowed only on Saturdays and Sundays. The price of a hunting authorization is 2,500 lei.
The price of an authorization for hunting on leased out areas is set by the lessee. Hunting here is allowed on any day of the week. Wild boar hunting in the areas protected by the state, including reserves, is banned.
“Moldsilva” reminds that hunting of noble deer, spotted deer, roebucks and elks this season is not allowed.
Hunting without authorization, in banned places or by forbidden methods (poaching) is punished with a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 lei, community service or up to three years in jail.
