Wife stabs husband

A man from Gratiesti village of Chisinau municipality was operated on last night after his wife stabbed him, Info-Prim Neo reports. The 52-year-old man was taken by the ambulance at 2 am with a wound in his stomach, as his liver was also cut. He was being accompanied by his wife, both heavily inebriated. The two assured the doctors they did not fight, but that was an accident. The man said he accidentally got under his wife's hand, who was cutting bread with a 80-cm-long machete. Now the man is out of danger, having but a hangover. According to official statistics, about 50,000 Moldovan suffer from alcoholism, 17% of them being women. Of them, 0.7% drink on a daily basis, as 5.6% – twice a week. 5 people injured in car accidents were assisted by the Emergency Hospital last night.
