Who will represent PDM in Parliament

The Democratic Party (PDM) in the parliamentary elections of February 24 won 30 seats of MP, 17 of which in single-member constituencies, according to the preliminary results presented by the Central Election Commission. Among those who entered Parliament are the party’s leader Vlad Plahotniuc,  Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, IPN reports.

The Democrats scored victories in 17 single-member constituencies: Oleg Sîrbu (No.3), Ion Leucă (No.5), Corneliu Padnevici (No.6), Eugeniu Nikiforchuk (No.8), Gheorghe Brashovski (No.12), Eleonora Graur (No.13), Ludmila Guzun (No.14), Nicolae Ciubuc (No.15), Vlad Plahotniuc (No.17), Pavel Filip (No.20), Alexandru Jizdan (No.24), Grigore Repeshchuk (No.35), Alexandru Botnari (No.38), Gennady Buza (No.39), Dumitru Diacov (No.40), Efrosinia Grețu (No.41) and Elena Bacalu (No.42).

According to the party list, seats of MP will also be held by the PDM’s secretary general Constantin Botnari, suspended minister of education, culture and research Monica Babuc, former minister of constructions Vasile Bîtcă, current MP Sergiu Sîrbu, former minister of justice and current PDM vice president Vladimir Cebotari, current MP Vladimir Andronaki, the wife of former National Bank governor Otilia Drăguțanu, head of Șoldănești district Svetlana Rotundu, MP Violeta Ivanov, MP Angel Agache, Deputy Parliament Speaker Vladimir Vitiuc and MP Igor Vremea.

The preliminary results, with 100% of the votes cast in the February 24 elections being counted, show the Party of Socialists gained 35 seats of MP, 17 of which in single-member constituencies. The Democratic Party won 30 seats, 17 of which in single-member constituencies. The electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS obtained 26 seats, 12 of which in single-member constituencies, while the Shor Party – seven seats, two of which in constituencies.

The turnout at last Sunday’s elections was 49,22%, which is 1 453 013 voters.
