The main speaker at the “Festival of Hope that will be held on July 15-16 at the Chisinau Arena is Will Graham, a guest from the U.S. He will tell the attending people about the role of hope in people’s lives.
In a news conference hosted by IPN, Valeriu Giletski, chairman of the organizational committee, said that Will Graham is an internationally renowned evangelist. He is the grandson of Billy Graham, who was considered a patriarch of the U.S. In the 1980s, he managed to visit the Soviet Union and later visited also Romania. Eighteen years ago, in 2005, Billy Graham’s son or Will Graham’s father Franklin Graham was the main guest at the “Festival of Hope” that was held at the National Stadium in Chisinau, where over 94,000 people came together during three days.
Victor Pavlovski, Bishop of the Pentecostal churches of Moldova, said that Will Graham is an English speaker and on the first day of the event, on July 15, his speech will be interpreted into Russian, while on the second day – into Romanian.
According to the organizers, Will Graham is the third generation of Grahams to preach under the banner of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association all over the world. He accepted with joy the invitation to come to the country in which his father also preached. Besides participation in the program of the “Festival of Hope”, Will Graham will have several meetings with representatives of local religious entities, officials of the Republic of Moldova and local journalists.
The organizers also said that this special event devoted to faith, hope and love will bring together thousands of people to celebrate Jesus Christ – the most significant personality in the history of mankind, the person who changed the course of history forever.
The press will have access to the Chisinau Arena through the entrance intended for journalists. Accreditation for the event will be possible in the media zone immediately after entering. Places for the press will be reserved.
