A number of 857 persons benefitted from free dental prosthetic services in the municipality of Chisinau by December 1 this year. A sum of 2.5 million lei was allocated from the 2018 municipal budget for the purpose.
In a response to an inquiry made by IPN News Agency, the Chisinau General Health and Social Assistance Division said persons who reached retirement, persons with disabilities, war veterans, labor veterans, rehabilitated political prisoners, persons awarded state honorable mentions and orders once in five years can benefit from free dental prosthetic services.
The beneficiaries should have the domicile in the municipality of Chisinau, have the medical conclusion concerning the necessity of prosthetic medical assistance issued by the specialist, valid for a month, and have the pension/revenues lower than 3,000 lei.
The persons who benefit from invitation to be offered free dental prosthetic services can have a consultation with the dentist and radiological examination, can receive dental disease treatment and have pre-prosthetic surgery or dental extraction, while their dental prostheses are made from noble alloys with decorative covering.
The claimant will submit an application to the Municipal Dental Center in Chisinau for being put on the waiting list. The collected applications are monthly examined in the meeting of the commission for assessing the allocated funds and distributing invitations for having free dental prosthetic services, which analyzes, validates and updates the waiting list. The commission is formed by the Municipal Council’s decision.
