Air Moldova so far operated flights according to schedule. The morning flights to Sharm El Sheikh and Tel Aviv took off as planned as these didn’t need to enter the Ukrainian airspace. The airline is waiting for recommendations as to the subsequent actions from the authorities managing the airspace.

The company’s spokeswoman Iana Zidu Tamazlîcar had told IPN that a flight to Moscow is to be operated today, at noon. This is to cross Ukraine and they do not yet know if it will be operated or not.

The Ukrainian authorities earlier today closed the airspace to civilian flights because of a “high risk” to safety.
