The Federation for the Rights and Resources for People with Autism Spectrum Disorders will create a webpage to ensure better communication between families with autistic children and specialists in the field. An initiative to this effect was presented in a news conference on May 25, IPN reports.

Manager of the project “Involvement for Autism” Ala Panzari said one of the objectives is to facilitate access to information for all the players who deal with autism spectrum disorders. The webpage is to be launched in August.

“On this platform, the teachers, psychologists, doctors, parents, decision makers, therapists and all those involved in dealing with the problem of autism will be able to exchange information, experience and advice. Owing to this platform, there will be ensured good cooperation between parents of autistic children and specialists,” stated Ala Panzari.

In September, there will be staged a charity concert and a part of the proceeds will be used to outfit a room for autistic children at the Ungheni Day Center “Home for Everyone”.

According to the 2014 population census, there were over 350 autistic persons in the Republic of Moldova. Specialists say these data are not relevant as there are many parents who refuse to admit that their child suffers from an autism spectrum disorder and do not go to a specialist with this.
