Weather warning for Moldova

The Moldovan Hydrometeorological Service has issued a weather warning for prolonged and, temporarily, heavy rainfall during September 18-20 across the Moldovan territory, in connection with a virtually stationary cyclone over the Black Sea, Info-Prim Neo reports.
During this period, rainfall in certain areas is forecast to top the 120mm mark.
Additionally, water levels are expected to rise some 1 to 1.5m above normal on certain small courses of water, accompanied by overflows and minor flooding events in lowland areas.
Weathermen warn the owners of ponds and fish farms to pay proper attention to the condition of dikes, as weak barrages might erode or collapse during this period.
