I had a fruitful dialogue,” the minister stated in a news conference at Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau, IPN reports.

During two days while in Moldova, the Romanian official had meetings with representatives of the Government and the local public administration of Criuleni district and with the patriarch of the Bessarabian Metropolitan Church.

“The relationship with Moldova is special. It is a spiritual relationship. I reiterated the support for the European integration of the Republic of Moldova. The Romanian authorities will continue to offer assistance in covering the European course. As regards the Transnistrian conflict, we consider this should be solved in the 5+2 format,” stated Natalia Elena Intotero.

She said she was satisfied with the way in which the Romanian funds allocated for renovating kindergartens in Moldova was spent. Romania will continue to finance educational and cultural projects. Together with the administration of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations, they agreed to stage a number of events. “We have a large community in the main countries of the EU. In the immediate period, we will sign a memorandum of cooperation for participating in common events. We will celebrate the National Costume Day, the Romanian Language Day. We will jointly submit files for having the traditional peasant blouse, the carol and group caroling included in the UNESCO heritage, similar to the Martsishor,” noted Natalia Elena Intotero.

In the event, there were awarded the winners of the second edition of the national contest “Our language is a treasure”. The awardees received tickets to the ARC 2018 camps and schoolbags with supplies.

This year the Romanian authorities offer the Moldovan children 3,000 places in summer camps, by 1,000 more than last year. During the past ten years, about 30,000 children from Moldova rested at camps in Romania.
