We should build our own Paris in Chisinau, Rascani district head

“We want to become an European capital and all the conditions exist for this to happen. We should build our own Paris here in Chisinau”, the head of Chisinau's Rascani district Mihail Carlig told Info-Prim Neo. “You won't find people with such broad smiles and big hearts in the world's biggest cities. I don't mean that Moldovans are better than other people, but they have something specific, attractive and pleasant”, he stated. Mihai Carlig noted that Moldova was a religious country and the tradition to celebrate the Patron Saint' Day had a long history. Since Chisinau Day became Chisinau's Patron Saint's Day, the behavior of citizens and authorities has changed. “Before, the event was organized only by authorities and simply awaited by people. Now, the event is prepared harmoniously by both parts”, he said. Carlig announced that the Rascani District Head's Office prepared a rich cultural-artistic program to show the possibilities of cultural institutions from the district and to allow companies to exhibit their offers to the people. “The level of organization this year is pretty high. It's up to the guests to evaluate our efforts. We did our best and hope everyone will enjoy the holiday”. Mihail Carlig wished the inhabitants of Chisinau more tolerance.
