The MPs are offered time until December 18, 4pm, to come up with solutions and identity financial resources for compensating the drought-stricken famers with 3,000 lei per hectare sowed with corn and sunflower. This is the message transmitted by the famers protesting in front of the Parliament Building, IPN reports.
The farmers are determined to leave their tractors in front of the building. “If the people want this government full of thieves to be replaced, they will come to obtain this. We, the farmers, will lend a hand and will not give up,” said one of the protesters.
Another protester noted that the famers who suffered because of the drought should get compensations at the start of February at the latest, while the initiative group should take part in the working out of the compensation mechanism. The farmers propose that compensations should be provided from the resources planned unjustifiably in the 2021 budget.
The protest will continue tomorrow, starting at 11am.
