Starring with June 1 this year, traders will be authorized to sell water, tea, coffee, juices and ice-cream at stalls in the parks of Chisinau, not yet on the streets of the city, IPN reports.
In the May 7 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Legal Assistance Division head Valeriu Bogdan said there are many ambulatory trading units, but there is no clear mechanism for regulating their activity. The district head’s offices were consulted in order to identify places where trading units can be located. For example, the Buiucani district head’s office suggested 39 places, the Centru district head’s office – 32, while the Botanica district head’s office – 71. An order will be made by May 15 and this will specify the exact location and the number of authorized stalls.
In another development, acting mayor general of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu said the number of ambulatory traders who sell secondhand clothes increased at the Tiraspol Market located on Cantemir Blvd in Chisinau. He instructed ensuring strict control to prevent illegal trading.
