The residents of Bubuieci village of Chisinau municipality will no longer be affected by the residential waters generated by the solid household waste stored at the Purcel Mine situated on Uzinelor St. The municipality plans to build up a wastewater treatment station at the mine by the end of this November. A sum of 3.3 million lei was allocated for the purpose.

Vasile Efros, head of the territorial development and sanitation section of the Public Amenities Division, has told IPN that the station will be installed at the request of residents. “The equipment was already purchased and is in Chisinau. It is to be registered in the statutory capital of the municipality for being exempted from VAT,” he stated.

According to Vasile Efros, two ponds are not being built – one for residual waters and another one for water from the sewerage system. The waste water treatment station has a life of seven years.
