The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova has informed about the declaration of a state of emergency in a number of regions of the Czech Republic in connection with the devastating floods following the rain of the last two weeks, IPN reports.
To date, two persons died, while seven people went missing.
The metro in Prague does not work, while a number of tramway routes were suspended. The Kolin railway station that is situated 80 km from Prague, which connects the railroads of Poland, Slovakia, Austria, and Russia, is under water. The trains do not run regularly and come with great delay.
Portions of highways and national roads are closed as there is a danger of floods and landslide.
The Moldovans who are in difficulty on the territory of the Czech Republic can seek help and/or advice from the Embassy of Moldova and from the Foreign Ministry’s General Consular Affairs Division.
