The secretary of the Balti District Electoral Council Irina Serdiuc has told IPN that over 20% of the people eligible to vote cast their ballots in Balti municipality by noon. Voting goes without incidents.
In the municipality of Balti, there were established 59 polling places for over 101,000 voters.
Ten parties and an electoral bloc fielded candidates for the mayoralty of Balti municipality. Thirteen parties also put forward teams of candidates for seats on the municipal council, while two candidates are running independently.
