Votes cast on A4 sheets should be validated, expert

The Constitutional Court should validate the 919 votes cast on A4 sheets abroad, independent expert Vitalie Catan stated for Info-Prim Neo. The expert said that he would give priority to the right to vote than to the voting method described by the legislation. “If these votes are not validated, the people's right to vote will be violated,” said Vitalie Catan. On November 28, four poling places established abroad experienced a shortage of ballots. The Central Election Commission allowed the Moldovan voters at the polling places in Bologna, Padova, Paris and Moscow to cast their votes on A4 sheets. The Constitutional Court is to decide whether to validate them or not.
