Voters without official domicile will be able to vote on October 30

The persons eligible to vote whose domicile or residence is not indicated in the identification papers, but who possess valid papers will be able to vote in the October 30 presidential elections. A decision to this effect was taken by the Central Election Commission on October 25, IPN reports.

CEC president Alina Russu said there are about 63,000 persons in Moldova who do not have an official domicile or residence, but possess valid identification papers, according to the Information Resources Center “Registru”. These can vote at the polling place located near their last domicile or residence or at any polling station by being included in the additional lists. They will submit an own responsibility statement to confirm that they will not vote elsewhere.
