The voters in Corjova village of Dubasari district will be able to mark their ballots at polling place No. 4 in Cocieri and polling place No. 13 in Ustia of the same district. The decision was taken by the Central Election Commission after the separatist forces had blocked access to polling station No. 5 in Corjova earlier this morning, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The residents of Corjova could vote in Ustia and Cocieri under additional lists after presenting the documents showing that they live in the perimeter of the polling place in Corjova. Cocieri is located about 4 km from Corjova and is the closest to it.
Corjova, which is the birthplace of Moldova’s outgoing president Vladimir Voronin, is under the authority of the Moldovan constitutional government, but de facto is controlled by the Transnistrian administration. During the local elections of 2007 and the April 5 parliamentary elections, access to the polling place in this village was also obstructed.
