Citizens with the right to vote, who after the last participation in elections changed their place of residence, have two more weeks to inform the local public authorities about their new place of residence. They need to apply to the district head’s office or the mayor’s office by September 25 to be registered on the electoral rolls corresponding to the place of stay.

The Central Election Commission said that, through this procedure, the voter will be registered in the basic electoral rolls, corresponding to the place of stay, with the mention “Declaration of residence” under the heading “Note”.

When submitting the declaration, the voter will present the identity document for confirmation. The registrar will make the necessary mentions in the State Register of Voters and will issue a receipt confirming the declaring the new place of residence.

The submitted declaration is valid only for one election. The declarations submitted for the previous elections are not valid.

On October 20, the Republic of Moldova will hold A presidential election and a national constitutional referendum on joining the European Union.
