The Central Election Commission (CEC) said the voters until November 18 can verify the accuracy of the electoral rolls compiled for the November 19 local referendum on the dismissal of Dorin Chirtoaca from the post of mayor general of Chisinau municipality and the new local mayoral elections that will be held in ten communities, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Commission says that the lists can be verified at polling places and online, on www.cec.md, in the division “Check your name in State Register of Voters”.
The voters can go to the electoral office of the polling place located in the area where they live or have the domicile to ask to be included or struck off the list or to correct mistakes made in the data about themselves or other voters, based on identification papers.
According to the CEC, the voter can be put on the electoral rolls only once and at only one polling place. The person with valid domicile or residence is written in the electoral list of the local polling place.
On November 19, new mayoral elections will take place in Zarnesti village of Cahul district, Sangera town of Chisinau municipality, Berlinti of Briceni district, Capriana of Straseni, Fundurii Noi of Glodeni, Stefanesti of Floresti, Plopi of Cantemir, Sarateni of Leova, Ghiliceni of Telenesti and Lapusna of Hancesti.
