Voter turnout at 3pm exceeded 31%. For the election outcome to be validated, the turnout should be at least 1/3 of the persons eligible to vote, IPN reports.
Over 812,000 people voted at the polling stations established in the country. About 40% of those who voted are aged between 56 and 70. About 24% of those who cast their ballots are aged between 41 and 55. Those aged between 18 and 25 represented only 6.1% of those who voted by 3pm.
As many as 131,500 voters marked their choices abroad.
At the snap parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019, voter turnout at 3pm was almost 36%.
