By 3:00PM the voter turnout in today’s legislative elections was nearly 36%, or more than one million voters. During the last legislative elections in 2014, the turnout by 15:30PM was 39%, IPN reports.
As shown by CEC’s live data, the ratio of voting women and men was 52.32% to 47.68%. The most active voters were in the age group 56-70 years, followed by the 41-55 years group.
The polling stations are open from 7:00AM to 9:00PM.
There is no voter turnout threshold in these elections, but for the simultaneous referendum to be considered valid (it will remain non-binding either way) at least a third of eligible voters must participate.
