Some [1-3%] of the voters in Moldova marked their ballots by [9am]
The turnout of voters in Chisinau was 1%.
The voters in Nisporeni district are the most active. The turnout there was 3.5% of the voters written on the electoral rolls.
The lowest voter turnout was in Chisinau and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia – only 1%.
According to the secretary of the Central Election Commission Iurie Ciocan, such a turnout is typical as most of the voters go to the polls in the second half of the day. Many people, especially in rural areas, go to church in the morning.
Oversees, six persons have voted in China’s Beijing by 9am.
The referendum outcome will be validated if the turnout is 1/3 of the voters included in the main lists (2 660 472 voters).
The polling places will be open by 9pm.
