Voter turnout at 18:00 was slightly more than 36%, which is lower compared to the 2015 local elections, when, at the same time, the voter turnout was about 40%. In Chișinău, until 18:00, over 30% of the voters cast their votes, which means that the elections are considered valid.

Women are more active compared to men, the ratio being 54.14% to 45.86%. Voters aged between 56 and 70 constituted 36.06% of the total number of voters. In terms of voter turnout, this age group is followed by citizens aged between 41 and 55 years - 25.22%. The following groups are 26 to 40 years - 22.04%, above 71 years - 10.11% and 18 to 25 years – 6.57%.

In a press conference, the Central Electoral Commission chairperson, Dorin Cimil, said that between 07:00 and 14:00, 58 incidents were reported. "Of these, 17 cases involved electoral campaigning, 11 cases involved poster display and four cases involved reasonable suspicion of voter corruption", said Dorin Cimil.

As far as the snap parliamentary elections are concerned, about 23 thousand voters turned out in constituency no 17, while 20 thousand cast their votes in electoral district no 33. 1100 eligible citizens voted in the 25 polling stations opened in the 48th constituency. In constituency no 50, about 6900 voters turned out, the most requested polling stations being those in France, Italy and Belgium.

The CEC chairman said that polling stations are open until 21:00. "The electoral bureau can decide on the extension of polling station working schedule by a maximum of two hours, in order to allow the voters who stand in line to exercise their right to vote", said Dorin Cimil.
