The voter turnout in the country at 10am was 9%. At the same hour on June 14, the voter turnout was 11%. In the municipality of Chisinau, the turnout is over 6%, the same as two weeks ago at this hour, IPN reports
Central Election Commission president Iurie Ciocan in a press briefing said the voters in Botanica district are the most active, while those in Ciocana are the least active. The highest voter turnout in the country is in Soldanesti district. In Marcauti village of Briceni district, the turnout was over 27% so that the elections there can be validated. At a polling place in Iabloana, Glodeni, the turnout exceeded 35%. At the same time, at a polling place in Soroca town, the voter turnout was less than 1%.
So far the men voted more actively than the women. The turnout among the voters aged between 18 and 25 was 4.6%, among those aged 26 and 40 - 6%, between 31 and 40 - 11%, between 41 and 50 – 15%, between 51-60 - 26%, between 61-70 – over 24%, while among voters older than 70 -13.7%.
No incidents hampered the voting process by 10am.
