Workers of the municipal enterprises during two months collected about 6,000 trucks of tree branches that fell in yards of apartment bindings and adjoining areas in Chisinau as a result of the late-April snowstorms. The annual average is of about 5,000 trucks. The workload in Botanica district is the heaviest, IPN reports.
Petru Gontea, head of the General Public Amenities Division, in the July 3 meeting of officials of Chisinau services said that after the April tempests the employees of municipal enterprises worked outside program to clean the yards and adjacent areas. The situation in Botanica remains problematic. About two months are yet needed to collect all the fallen branches there.
Petru Gontea also said that workers of other enterprises will help the housing stock managers to clean up in most problematic areas. The authorities call on the dwellers to become involved at least during the weekend.
The Division’s head noted that works to prepare the housing sector for the cold season are carried out in parallel. The roofs are repaired and effort is made to hasten the works.
